Taking a look this week at the newly released NARS Afterglow Liquid Blush. There are a total of 6 shades released, I have here 2 shades to swatch and review. These retail for C$39 each.
The two shades I picked up are swatched here: Behave, described as a mauve pink and the infamous Orgasm shade. I will have shade comparisons with the previous NARS Liquid Blush as well as liquid blushes from other brands on my Instagram highlights so be sure to check those out!
I’ve seen some mixed reviews for these, but personally I really like them. The product blended like a dream, and the doe foot applicator makes application so easy and convenient. Just dab a few times on the cheek and blend! I tried blending with fingers, brush, and sponge, and found all methods to be equally effective.
I find these really fit the bill of being effortless and mistake proof. These blushes are not very pigmented once applied, so it’s quite hard to mess up by being too heavy-handed. They can be built up quite nicely if desired. I imagine that if you are one who prefers a more pigmented liquid blush, this is not for you (you might want to check out the Rare Beauty blushes instead! Now those really pack a punch when it comes to pigment).
When it comes to lasting power, I found these to be decent and comparable to other cream/liquid blush formulas. On me these lasted several hours. Setting it with a powder (or powder blush) really helped with lasting power.
The NARS Afterglow Liquid Blushes are available at Sephora and Shoppers Beauty Boutique. Did you try them? Would like to know what you think!
