Givenchy recently launched their Prisme Libre Loose Powder Blushes here in North America. I can’t tell you the last time I this excited for a new makeup release. The Prisme Libre Loose Setting Powder is a longtime favourite of mine, so I have really high hopes for this one. And I am happy to report that they did not disappoint! This formula is now my new favourite, edging out even the Gucci blushes that I love so much (reviewed here). The blush gives a radiant and glowy finish (as you will see in the swatches) but did not accentuate any texture or pores. The powders blended seamlessly and lasted the entire day without fading into nothing. A quick note to those who are sensitive to scents, there is a slight perfume-y scent to the powders that dissipates really quickly.
I have here 3 of the 6 shades:
- 2 – Taffetas Rosé described as a vivid pink
- 3 – Voile Corail a coral with orange undertones
- 4 – Organza Sienne described as a brick red and burnt sienna
Here are the 3 shades swatched:
If you own any of the Givenchy Prisme Libre powders, you will be familiar with this packaging. The blush comes in 4 different coloured powders each in their own separate compartment. When applying, you mix the powders together to create the perfect blush. I like to shake the container with the puff pressed on top to catch the powders, then directly dab the puff on the face. This for me gives the prettiest subtle and diffused glow that I really love. I find using the puff to be mess free and so much faster since no brush is needed. You could also shake the powders out onto the cap and apply with a brush, although I find this to be quite messy and I always end up getting powders all over my dresser.
I am so happy I finally got my hands on these blushes. They are my current favourite and go-to because of how effortless and quick they are. The Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Powder Blushes are available at Sephora and Holt Renfrew.
